Dr. Levick is a psychologist and art psychotherapist. She developed the first graduate training program in the field at Hahnemann Medical College, now Hahnemann/Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA in 1967. She continued there as Professor and Director of the Creative Arts in Therapy Program (MCAT - Art, Music, and Dance) until moving to Florida in 1986. Dr. Levick was a founder and first president of the American Art Therapy Association and is Editor-in- Chief Emeritus of the Arts in Psychotherapy, an International Journal and on the advisory board of Art Therapy, Journal of the American Art Therapy Association. She is also an expert witness and has been qualified in 5 states.
In Florida she established the Art Psychotherapy Institute, maintaining an office in her home. As director of this institute, Doctor Levick provides consultation, lectures, supervision and webinars.
